French billiards in a room of its own
Most rentals advertise « billiards » to describe a table wedged into a corner of the living room. Here the table fills an entire room, with the clearance you need to play properly from every side.
It is a French billiard table in pale maple, lit by a twin-shade pendant hung at the right height. The far wall, painted deep teal, absorbs the light and sets the table off. Underfoot, the original geometric parquet — a marquetry pattern nobody makes any more — has been kept and sanded.
Guests regularly name this room as the good surprise of their stay. On evenings when rain falls on the slopes, it saves the holiday. On summer evenings it naturally extends dinner once the garden turns cool around ten o’clock.
Please note: use of the billiard table is covered by a specific deposit of €650, returned in full on departure. The cloth and the balls are delicate, so we simply ask that no glasses or plates are placed on the table. Details are on the rates page.
Small, warm, facing the garden
The lounge is deliberately more intimate than the other rooms: a deep sofa, two armchairs, a round coffee table, and tall French doors with small panes that frame the garden trees like a picture.
The pale wooden sideboard from the nineteen-sixties houses the flat-screen television and the DVD player. In the evening, the opaline glass wall lights on either side of the sofa give off the warm light that no modern fitting quite reproduces.

A billiards tournament
The table is always available, with no booking and no coins. The children usually take it up before the adults do.
