The real luxury of the house

It is often the argument that settles the decision, and rarely the one people were looking for: a fully enclosed garden, big enough for six people each to find their own corner, with the vineyard slopes as a backdrop.

The grounds run right around the building. No window looks onto another. Stone walls and hedges mark the property on all four sides, which has two practical consequences: you are not watching the children every second, and you can eat outside without feeling observed.

At the far end of the plot, the ground rises gently towards the first vines. On a clear day the line of the slopes closes the horizon exactly as it does on the labels.

Through the seasons

The garden is a different place in April and in August

April–May: beds of tulips and grape hyacinths burst out along the façade. This is when the garden photographs best, and when rates are at their gentlest.

June–August: the terrace becomes the main room of the house. Meals move outside, roses climb the south wall, and the shade of the tall trees at the end of the plot makes the afternoons bearable.

September–October: the harvest brings the slopes to life, purple asters flower in front of the house, and the air smells of crushed grapes. Many regulars come only at this time of year.

November–March: the garden rests, the central heating takes over and the billiard room comes back into its own.

Safety

Enclosed on all four sides: small children move freely between the house and the lawn.

Cars park inside the grounds, with no need to look for a space in the village.

Frequently asked questions

Is the garden genuinely enclosed?

Yes, on all four sides, by stone walls and hedges. That is what lets children play without constant supervision, and one of the reasons families book the house.

Is there garden furniture?

Yes, a table and chairs stand on the sheltered terrace along the south façade, with further seating in the garden.

Is there a swimming pool?

No. The house has no pool: the outdoor space is a planted ornamental garden. In summer, the region’s leisure lake and rivers are a few minutes away.

Can several cars be parked?

Yes, parking is inside the enclosed property and takes the vehicles of several families.
