The two-night weekend is offered outside French school holidays. It gives you the whole house: the three bedrooms, the kitchen, the dining room, the lounge, the billiard room and the walled garden.
For six people that works out at €22.50 per person per night — less than a shared hotel room, with a kitchen, a garden and a billiard table on top. A third night can be added for €135, which turns a weekend into a long weekend without changing address.
Add the tourist tax of €1.10 per person per day, electricity and heating by meter reading, and the end-of-stay cleaning if you would rather not handle it (€80). Deposits are set out on the rates page.

The trap of a short break is trying to do everything. Here is a rhythm that works, tested by the people who come back.
Arrive and plan nothing
Drop the bags, open a bottle bought on the way, eat in. The dining room is built for it. A first game of billiards usually breaks out around eleven.
The vineyard, then the village
A morning in the cellars — two estates is enough, three is already too many. A late lunch, then a loop on foot or by bike through the slopes. In the evening, dinner in the village: book ahead, Chablis is small and busy on Saturdays.
Market, river, home
Breakfast in the garden if the season allows, local produce to take home, a walk along the Serein, and away in the early afternoon. You leave with bottles and the feeling of having been away a week.
A whole house rather than six hotel rooms
The main point of renting for a weekend is not having to split up at eleven o’clock and go to separate rooms. Here the evening carries on: the dining room seats eight, the lounge takes five, and the billiard room runs until the last player gives up.
The walled garden also means you can step outside without disturbing anyone. We simply ask that you respect the quiet of the neighbourhood after ten in the evening: the house is in the centre of the village.
When to come for a weekend
The last weekend of October hosts the Chablis wine festival: the village fills up, estates open their cellars and the atmosphere is unique. It is also the weekend that books earliest in the year — write to us several months ahead.
From November to March, Chablis returns to its quiet self and the house comes into its own: central heating, billiards, long evenings at the table. This is the most available and the most affordable period.
In spring, the garden flowers and the cellars can be visited without queuing. An excellent compromise between weather and peace.
